Today, Palm Sunday, was our first full day in Ninawachi. We woke up around 4:30am with the joyful song of the roosters outside. :) Some went back to sleep some others not....
This is "Colada" - a hot drink they (we) have for breakfast made of tapioca, milk, cinnamon and fruit.
It was a day of rest, connection with the people here in the jungle and preparation for the ministries we will begin tomorrow in the villages. But first, after breakfast we went to the local church, by foot. It was a on a little hill.
(more bananas on the way to church)
There we sung in Spanish and in English, listened to Mr Hardy preaching and Addy and Reagan giving testimonies.
Then we came back to have lunch and spent the afternoon prepping for the VBS tomorrow, and playing sports with the people here.
Cocoa
Doing laundry the old way :)
And finally, after dinner we had our prayer hut meeting around the fire, where we sung and shared testimonies. Caleb and Evan shared tonight about how God is faithful and in control in good and bad times and how He speaks to us through the Bible if we take the time to listen, and that salvation is not earned but is a gift from God.
Time to sleep now.... More tomorrow as we will go to unknown places. Please pray for us that the Lord uses us, and that our hearts and actions show the love of Jesus in all we do and say.
