First day in the jungle
First day in the jungle
We left Quito around 10:30am after a great worship and devotional time. After an uneventful 4 hour bus ride we arrived at the Ninawhachi seminary. The seminary students lined up to great us as we came of the bus. The heat was stifling but hearts were happy. It was great for the returning students to be reunited with old friends.
After settling in and having dinner we attended as well as shared in the church service. Matt and Dylan gave testimonies and Tyler preached. All skillfully translated by Edwin.
Later we had a debrief in the prayer hut where students shared about their day. Mark Shafer (the incalink missionary) shared about a young man from an indigenous tribe who had just arrived. He had no money money to ribe the bus so had ridden his bike for two days. Amazing determination!
I am hoping I can post these pictures and stories. The intetnet has not been great but I will keep writing and trying.
